Your photo is processed entirely inside your browser. It is never uploaded to us or to anyone else. This page explains precisely what that means, and what little the site does keep.
When you choose a photo, it is decoded and resized by your own browser and held in memory for as long as the page is open. Every measurement, every render and every edit happens there. No server receives the image, because there is no server that could — the site is static files.
The photo is not saved to your device either. It is deliberately excluded from the settings the site stores locally, so closing the tab discards it. If you reload, you will be asked for it again. That is intentional rather than an oversight.
One way to calibrate is to lay a bank or ID card next to your hand. That works because such cards are a fixed size worldwide — 85.60 × 53.98 mm under ISO/IEC 7810 — which makes one a very accurate ruler.
That photo is handled exactly like any other: read in your browser, used only to measure distances, never transmitted, never stored, and never read for card numbers or any other card details. The site takes no payments of any kind.
The site keeps your settings in your browser's local storage so they survive a reload. That data stays on your device and is never sent anywhere. It covers:
You can clear all of it at any time by clearing site data for this domain in your browser.
There are no cookies, no accounts, no sign-up and no email collection. Nothing you enter is transmitted to us.
The site counts page views using Cloudflare Web Analytics. It sets no cookie, writes nothing to your browser, and does not build a profile or follow you to other sites. It records the page, the referring site, and coarse details like country and device type. It cannot see your photo, your measurements, or anything you type — none of that leaves your device, as described above.
Where the tool suggests retailers who sell a shape, the link passes through a page on this site before going on. That is how the number of clicks per retailer is counted — cookielessly, and with nothing that identifies you.
Nothing you entered goes with you. Not your photo, which never left your device in the first place, and not your ring size or measurements. The retailer sees only that someone arrived from this site, which every site on the web can see about its visitors. None of these links earns this site anything — see the disclosure notice.
Beyond the page itself, two optional features fetch additional files — and both are served from this domain rather than a third party, so no outside company sees that you visited:
Both run entirely in your browser once loaded. If you never use those features, they are never downloaded. The only request the site makes to anything other than this domain is the Cloudflare Web Analytics beacon described above, and Cloudflare already hosts this site.
Save or share this image creates the picture on your device and hands it to your operating system's share sheet — you choose where it goes, and nothing is sent automatically.
Copy a link to these stones produces a link containing only the stone measurements and ring size. Your photo is never included in a link and could not be; it stays on your device.
The site is served by Cloudflare. Like any web host, Cloudflare processes basic connection information such as your IP address, browser type and the time of the request in order to deliver pages and protect against abuse. That is standard server logging and is separate from anything this application does.
